A story written just for them, turning over one idea from the National Curriculum for their year. The science is the engine of the plot, never a lecture. An AI reviewer checks it, then you read the draft and approve it.

Each story is scaffolded on the programme of study for your child’s year group, from Reception to Year 6. One big idea per story, revisited from new angles, with a coverage map so you can see what has been taught and what is still to come.

Not by a form. The doors at the end of every story reveal where their curiosity is heading, and the next story follows it. Rivers one week, the inside of a rabbit the next.

Nothing reaches your child unreviewed
Every story is checked for science accuracy and age fit by a second AI reviewer, and then you read it and approve it before bedtime. You can edit or reject any draft.
We store a first name and a year group
Plus reading level and a few favourite things, because the stories need them. No date of birth, no surname, no school, no photos. Children never have accounts.
No ads. Nothing in the reading screen but the story
The reading view is dark, quiet and free of anything that competes with the words. No tracking, no pop-ups, no in-app purchases.

Questions parents ask
Which ages is it for?
Children from Reception to Year 6 in England (roughly ages four to eleven) — Reception stories follow the Early Years goals, and Years 1 to 6 the National Curriculum. You choose whether the story is read to them, read together, or read on their own, and the length and vocabulary follow.
Who writes the stories?
An AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) writes each story from your child’s profile, the curriculum scaffold and a set of style rules we have refined over months of real bedtimes. A second model then checks every science claim, the age fit and the continuity with earlier stories. Nothing reaches your child until you have read it and pressed approve.
Do I have to read it to them?
Yes, and that is the point. Bedtime STEM is built for a parent with a phone in one hand at bedtime. Children never have accounts and never use the app themselves; the doors are chosen together, on your device.
What if the science is wrong?
It can happen; language models make subtle mistakes. That is why every draft goes through a reviewer and then through you. You can edit any story before approving it or reject it outright, and we would love to hear about anything that slipped past.
What happens to my child’s data?
We store a first name, year group, reading level, favourite things, the stories generated, the doors chosen and the recall results. That is what it takes to personalise the stories, and nothing more. You can delete a child, or your whole account, at any time from Settings, and we delete the data within 30 days. No advertising, no selling of data, no tracking in the reading screen.
